Micro heat pipe type split natural cooling system and its application to IDC room

Based on research results on the energy consumption of IT equipments and air conditioning system in an IDC room of T3 terminal of Capital Airport, combined with the outdoor environment in winter of Beijing, studies the application of the micro heat pipe type split natural cooling system to the IDC room. The measured results from November 2016 to March 2017 show that the average cooling capacity of the system is 2.85 kW, the maximum cooling capacity is 7.46 kW, the average energy efficiency ratio (EER) is 4.82, the maximum EER reaches 10.02 and the accumulative cooling capacity of the IDC room is 35 458 MJ in the whole winter, reducing the energy consumption of 3 517 kW·h.
